Bounded by Colombia in the North and Peru in the South, the Republic of Ecuador is located in the Northwest coast of South America. The Galapagos Islands, 1,000 Km (625 miles) off the Pacific coast, are also part of Ecuador. In spite of its small area (256,370 Km2), Ecuador is blessed with a wide variety of geography, climate, flora and fauna.
ECOFRUT’s processing plant is located in the city of Duran, on the Eastern bank of the Guayas river, across from Guayaquil which is the economic capital of Ecuador and also its largest city and shipping port.
ECOFRUT sources its fresh plantains from the tropical coastal areas of the country, within a 200 Km (125 miles) radius of the plant.
ECOFRUT follows guidelines outlined in the HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) international food processing system. ECOFRUT’s products are Kosher Certified.
